Client Memo – Privacy Protection

Unfortunately, we live in a world where our privacy is consistently being threatened, both online and through the various business and governmental organizations that we deal with. In an effort to assist you in protecting privacy, we have enclosed two publications published by government agencies. We recommend you take the time to read these publications and follow some, or all, of the suggestions.

In addition, you can have your name removed from any direct market solicitation that uses data from credit reporting agencies. This can be accomplished by calling (888) 567-8688 (888-5OPTOUT) or opt-out online at www.optoutprescreen.com. We highly recommend you to put a credit freeze, also called a security freeze, on your credit file. A freeze means that your file cannot be shared with potential creditors, insurers, employers, or residential landlords without your permission. To place a freeze, you must contact
each of the three credit bureaus, online, by phone, or mail:

Equifax

Experian

TransUnion

Additional privacy protection information and resources can be found at the following government websites:

Should you have any questions regarding any of the information provided, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
