PPP Loan Application Deadline Extension
A close-up image reveals part of an American flag, a one-dollar bill, and a check with the text "FOR COVID-19" visible, alongside hints of a PPP loan application. These elements symbolize financial aspects linked to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.

On March 30, 2021, President Biden signed the PPP Extension Act of 2021, H.R. 1799 into law, providing loan applicants two additional months to apply for a first or second draw PPP loan. The current deadline for PPP loan applications has been extended to May 31, 2021.

The PPP loan application deadline extension was made as a result of the changes effected by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, H.R. 1319 (ARPA), which was signed into law on March 11, 2021. For more information on the program changes under the ARPA, please see our March 29, 2021 memorandum Updates to PPP Loan, Grant Relief and SBA Programs under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, and also posted on our website.
